Arthritis Diets
One of the largest causes of the degenerative effects of arthritis what the patients eat. Many arthritis sufferers are obese or considered overweight in general terms. One of the best ways to reduce the effects of arthritis is by taking up an arthritis diet. The arthritis diet is made up of removing several key ingredients in that helps perpetuate arthritis.
Some of the most harmful foods that the arthritis sufferer can take are foods that contain: sugar, caffeine, red meat, dairy products, soft drinks, red peppers, tomatoes and salt. The Arthritis Diet removes these foods temporarily from the diet and reintroduces them back in to see if an allergic reaction takes place. If this reaction should occur the food is to be removed from the diet. Removing these foods will help reduce the pain and inflammation caused by arthritis. It should also help the individual to lose weight. Less weight will put less strain on the joints thus alleviating some of the symptoms.
In the past decade, certain foods have increased their amount of consumption in our daily diet. Sugar has become a problem for a number of reasons. Soda and other soft drinks are full of sugar and can contain on average of 10 – 12 teaspoons. Reducing the daily sugar intake is a big part of The Arthritis Diet. More fruits and vegetable should be introduced into the diet. Foods high in carbs as well as sugar should be avoided for not only arthritic reasons but for good health overall.
